After recently visiting a boat show in New England which was really impressive with the wide variety of watercraft available today but I have to say, one thing that really stood out what the Inflatable Boats. They certainly are not like they used to be even 10 years ago.
Now I know some of you are saying what can possibly be so impressive about a Dinghy, but have you taken a look at them recently?
The size variance, portability, materials and cost of these boats is nothing to scoff at. Some of the inflatable boats that are out there can actually be punctured several times without fear of sinking try that with most boats out the.
They stand behind them too. Some of the companies that make them offer a 5 year warranty if the boat has any defects. If you own one of those big boats and are looking for a Life Boat, you have to see the Inflatables. You can store in under a bench in your boat with no problem.
Try walking on the bottom of these boats now. I remember a Dinghy I bought about 15 years ago that you could not even stand in because it was like trying to walk on a balloon. These Inflatable Boats now have rigid bottoms that are as solid as walking on the floor of your living room.
After I came home after the Boat Show I went onto the computer so I could check out the prices of the Inflatables to compare them to what I saw at the show and I found an ever better deal online than was at the show check out the links below.
I bought one online and it took about a week for it to get to my house and I saved about $100 from the show price. When I was at the show there were many companies there as I am sure you can imagine, but some of them were charging extra for a warranty. Who the heck would but an Inflatable Boat with no warranty? The one I picked up had a 5 year warranty right off the bat. The way I see it the companies that charge extra for the warranty are just doing that to pad their pockets. If the boat is good enough to have a 5 year warranty, but you choose to sell it without a warranty and want to charge me more to get the warranty thats not right.
If you want to go in shallow water that has rocks or weeds, you better be looking at an Inflatable Boat because you know as well as I do that your going to have a hard time with a regular boat in waters like that.
They are great for hunting, fishing, birding or just sightseeing. I don't know about you but whenever I have gone hunting, birding a traditional boat like a canoe is a major undertaking. You can be sure that this fall I will be bringing my new Inflatable Boat with me and leaving the canoe at home.
