What Are The Best Things To Do In Orlando?

By John Iseda

Orlando is the sixth largest city of Florida and is also said to be its largest inland city, located in Central Florida in the northeast of Tampa. The climate in Orlando couldn't be better which means the theme park center of the world has plenty of family vacations going on all year round. No wonder, as there are lots of fun things to do in Orlando.

Tourism is one of the city's biggest income sources. A number of people who enter the area annually is estimated at stunning 52 million. In order to meet the requirements for the family vacation capital of the USA, Orlando is constantly developing at a rapid pace.

When thinking of Orlando, there's one place that immediately comes to mind. Walt Disney World is one of the main reasons for the city's popularity. Apart from its world famous theme parks, Disney World now offers a lot more lodging possibilities than it used to not so long ago.

Sea World is another very popular theme park and although there are only a couple of rides there, it really doesn't matter as a family will find plenty of entertainment from all the sea creatures there including shows from dolphins and killer whales which should not be missed. However, many other shows are constantly going on where it is possible to get really close to sea creatures and you might find it hard to fit all the shows in with just one visit.

Universal Studios are another of Orlando's greatest hits. At least a day at this theme park cannot be missed if you consider yourself a cinema fanatic.

If you get tired of theme parks, Orlando still has quite a lot to offer. The Arabian Nights Adventure show is a must. It provides a wonderful evening's entertainment for the whole family with many trained horses as part of the show.

When you plan a trip to Orlando it is important to have some idea in advance of where you are going to stay, eat and what attractions you intend to visit as it is very easy to get sidetracked as there is so much to see and do. There is an abundance of places to stay at all budget levels, including many luxury hotels with great sports facilities.

Orlando has been one of the top family vacation destinations in Florida since 1971 owing to its giant parks full of rides, shows, fine restaurants, luxurious hotels, shopping venues and many more awesome attractions. No wonder that Orlando has become one of America's premiere vacation destinations.
