Internet Movie Reviews

It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. The next generation it seems will be getting their movies from movie downloads, avoiding any trips to the store. You will find just about any movie you want with a good movie download site, below is a small sample.

Hooper: Lighthearted check out aging ace Hollywood stunt gentleman Reynolds, his freewheeling way of life, and the youthful tyro who gets him to try the largest stunt of all. Cast includes Burt Reynolds, Jan-Michael Vincent, Sally Territory, Brian Keith, John Marley, James Best, Adam West, and Robert Klein. (100 minutes, 1978)

King of Hearts: Scotsman Bates strolls into a French town in WWI that has been abandoned by everyone with the exception of those in the crazy asylum. Fashionable film isn't for all tastes, although it has become a cult classic. Cast includes Alan Bates, Pierre Brasseur, Jean-Claude Brialy, Genevieve Bujold, Francoise Christophe, and Adolfo Celi. (102 minutes, 1966)

The Beverly Hillbillies: This is a movie based on the 1960's TV series. When Jed Clampett accidentally finds oil on his rural land in Arkansas, he becomes an instant billionaire. He brings the whole Clampett clan out to Beverly Hills. Being simple country folk they are pray to every money hungry con artist in the big city.

Snow white A Story of Fear: We're not in Disneyland here, kiddies. Incredibly shady, rather bloody, live-action rendition of the Brothers Grimm kid story and a workout in medieval terror, with over-the-top Weaver as the malevolent stepmother. l Cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Sam Neill, Gil Bellows, Taryn Davis, Brian Glover, David Conrad, and Monica Keena. (101 minutes, 1997)

Southern Comfort: Macho National Guardsmen pity Cajuns in the Louisiana marsh, much to their remorse. Survivalof-the-fittest spun wool is an intellectually messed, Grade B Deliverance, in spite of its crisp direction. Cast includes Keith Carradine, Powers Boothe, Fred Ward, Franklyn Seales, T. K. Carter, Lewis Smith, Les Lannom, Peter Wolf, and Brian James. (106 minutes, 1981)

Buck Privates Go home: One of the most entertaining romps has boys returning to civilian life and trying to smuggle a youthful European orphan into this nation. Climactic pursue a highlight. Cast includes Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Tom Brown, Joan Fulton Shawlee, Nat Pendleton, and Beverly Simmons, Don Beddoe. (77 minutes, 1947)

Spent: Ambitious however unconvincing story of dependency, trickery, and denial, focusing on a miserable youthful film industry wannabe. His persistent betting is getting out of hand. He's enclosed by bothered souls, containing a roommate who declines to recognize his sensual inclination and a lady friend Sprading who's an alcoholic. Cast includes Charlie Spradling, Phill Lewis, Erin Beaux, James Pm, Richmond Arquette, Barbara Barrie, Gilbert Cates, Pour Phoenix, and Margaret Cho. (91 minutes, 2000)

Absolute Power: Alan Richman, the President of the United States, gets a little too rough with Christy, the lady he is having an affair with. When she grabs a letter opener and fights back, she is shot dead by two secret service agents. A burglar was in the house and witnessed the whole event. He gets away, and takes the letter opener as evidence of what really happened. Now he is on the run, as the people in power want to take down the only man that can expose the truth.

Home of Usher: First-rate terror film based on classic story by Edgar Allan Poe. While attractive youthful gal's suitor shows up to solicit her hand in matrimony, the windows of the home of Guide fling open, and fear starts. Filmed several times before and as long as, however on no account this successfully; an incredible journey of force for Cost. Cast includes Vincent Cost, Mark Damon, Myrna Fahey, and Harry Ellerbe. (85 minutes, 1960)
