Despite their history of success, the team failed to make the playoffs during the 2008 season. Losing an embarrassing game to the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of 2008, the Cowboys understand that they need to make major changes in the 2009 offseason in order to remain competitive in an exceptionally tough division and conference.

During the 2009 offseason, the Dallas Cowboys have made some major changes. Adam "Pacman" Jones, known more for his off field exploits than on field successes, was released. They also released perennial troublemakers Terrell Owens and Terry "Tank" Johnson. Roy Williams will become the primary receiver, while Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton will see much more playing time this season.

Although the Cowboys defense was one of the areas where they stumbled last season, they haven't found the answers for this season, and the draft is not likely to have helped. With problems in the secondary and defensive line, the Cowboys will need to find ways to slow down strong running teams.

A couple of new faces from the draft include offensive tackle Robert Brewster, likely a smart pick and good teams should always be looking to strengthen their offensive lines. Clemson safety Michael Hamlin may be a nice pickup as well.

The Cowboys are looking for more than just a few roster moves to put the past season behind them. During offseason workouts, the Cowboys were thumped by a windstorm that blew through Texas on May 2 and destroyed a practice facility, injuring a dozen players and coaches. The organization is looking forward to their new stadium opening on September 20th to try and get the entire team back on track.

The Cowboys need a fresh start and a new direction, and the team will be tested early by last year's running juggernaut, the Carolina Panthers. The division foe games against the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants will not be easy, and the Cowboys will have to come together as a team quickly or they may find themselves once again watching the playoffs as observers.

With these shoes you will not only be able to jump higher, but you will be able to jump higher faster. You do not want to be that person who takes the longest time to be able to jump high. 3. Tennis ball: This one might sound funny to you, but you will need one. This tennis ball will bring your dribbling to the next level. When ever you are doing dribbling drills. Have the tennis ball in the other hand. Throw the ball up and catch it. If you are doing a cross-over. You will throw the ball up, and then catch it with the other hand. This will force you to not only look up, but to be doing something else while dribbling. This is because while you dribble you need not only to be able to see the court, you have to be able to be thinking about what is going on on the court.

Paintball is one of those sports that can be enjoyed by the whole family, and for those with a limitless fountain of competitive spirit, it is one of the best ways to release all those destructive urges, while at the same time appearing as rational human beings.

Just like in any war game, or even with simple fights, the mind is the most powerful and deadly tool that can be used to win. Therefore when it comes to paintball tactics is the way to go to win. In a game that the teams are uneven in number or in skill, or even when the teams are equals in both numbers and skill, the minds of the members of each of the teams are different. Paintball tactics is the tool that will either even the field for a disadvantaged team to give them more of a chance of winning, or break the stalemate and give one team the upper hand when dealing with nigh total equality.

Two well known, as well as important elements of paintball tactics are teamwork and communication. Communication is key, for there will be times during play that situations may pop up that will need team members to work together, in not just obtaining the prize, but getting past obstacles, be they barriers, or be they opponents. On the field of battle the team must also be able to anticipate or find counters for the paintball tactics used by the opposing team. There will come a time during play that the team will have to make snap decisions that could either lead to either winning or failing, these are the moments wherein teamwork and communication are needed the most.

Communication and teamwork are the two things that in the end, in conjunction with paintball, tactics, strategy, planning, etc, will ensure, or bring a team closer to victory.

When you think about multi-tools, Leatherman comes in mind. They have innovated the multi-tool with their standard pliers design. The Leatherman Crunch introduces a different take on the standard needle nose pliers design. With the Crunch, Leather offers locking pliers as the main tool. Locking pliers are also called vice-grips. Anyone that works around tools know that vice-grips are valuable. Having a pair of vice-grips is like having a third hand. Vice-grips allow you to free your grip for other tasks.

The Leatherman Crunch is small. Smaller than the Wave. The design is very cool. The Crunch pops out and it takes a few seconds to set up the main tool. The result is a small to mid-size vice grip that is very compact and portable when closed. In hand, it feels very well built and like all Leathermans, it has a 25 years warranty. The company stands by it's products and you can see it in the build quality of the Crunch.

The Crunch is equipped with 13 tools. I won't go through them all but the tools that will be used the most are the vice grips, serrated blade, and large flat-head screwdriver. Multi-tools will never replace the main counterparts but what you gain is portability and capability. Think of it as having a mini toolbox in your pocket. That is the point of multi-tools and the Crunch will definitely serve me well in the years to come.

While the Crunch lacks tools, the main tool makes up for it. Through the function of it's design, I can see how difficult it must be to incorporate many additional tools into the Crunch. For this reason, I am satisfied with the Crunch. I have other multi-tools and the Crunch is very good in comparison. What I did not like was the redundancy. For instance, I have 3 different sizes of flat-head screwdrivers. I do not need all of that. What nice though, the Crunch can be expanded. You can unscrew the adjustment knob all the way to reveal a hex driver slot. This makes for a very handy bit driver. Nice addition to have.

The Crunch is a great complimentary multi-tool. Having something is better than nothing and the Crunch can meet many needs from day to day. The crunch is perfect when coupled with the Victorinox Soldier. While not as complete as a Wave or a Charge, the Crunch can still hold it's own in the sea of multi-tools. Down in the Delta: With her life a mess and essentially no desiere to work, lone mother Woodard boards the bus with her 2 kids to spend the summer in the Mississippi Delta, living with family members and worlking in their restaraunt. Episodic drama recoups from awkward start to better points for utter likability. Woodard beams and Freeman gives one of the best acting jobs of his career. Cast includes Alfre Woodard, Al Freeman, Jr., Wesley Snipes, Mary Alice, Esther Rolle, and Loretta Devine. (111 minutes, 1998)

Solarbabies: Futuristic adolescent rubbish has Gertz and a bunch of her friends are trapped by a Nazi-like group inside a fortress. Preparing For Rotator Cuff Injury Surgery

One of the most frequent musculoskeletal injuries is the rotator cuff injury. Sometimes this type of injury is not associated with symptoms, but usually it is quite painful. A rotator cuff tear or rotator cuff tendonitis can cause you to experience pain and weakness in the shoulder when using your arms. It can be especially painful to lift the arm higher than shoulder level. Luckily, there are a number of ways to treat rotator cuff injuries - both surgical and non-surgical. The type of injury you have, your condition, and your age will be determining factors in deciding which type of treatment is right in your situation.

In addition to the two types of rotator cuff injuries already mentioned - tear or tendonitis - you should be aware that there are other conditions that may exhibit similar symptoms. Be sure to see your doctor to get the right diagnosis. He or she will give you a physical examination and will probably inject your shoulder with a local anesthetic. These procedures help your doctor to determine exactly what is wrong with your shoulder. If your doctor believes that you have a rotator cuff tear, the next step may be imaging tests to confirm the diagnosis and find the exact location of the tear.

Rotator cuff tendonitis is more common than rotator cuff tear, but the treatment is similar for both. Rest, ice, compression and elevation, also known as RICE therapy, is prescribed for both conditions. Your doctor may also tell you to take an over-the-counter pain medication like ibuprofen. You may also be referred to a physical therapist who will help you to understand how to modify your activities to avoid pain and may also give you instructions on exercises to help strengthen your shoulder. If these measures dont help, your doctor may give you a shot of a steroid/anesthetic mix. This injection will be made directly into the joint to help address your pain.

Of the patients who use this non-surgical intervention, about half report having a decrease of pain and an increase in range-of-motion within six weeks to three months. Aside from efficacy, there are a number of advantages to non-invasive therapy. Surgical risks such as permanent stiffness, anesthesia complications, and infection can be completely avoided. With non-invasive therapy, there is no down-time for recovery. On the other hand, use of non-invasive techniques may cause an increase in the size of the tear. While there is not a recovery period, there may be a time period when the patient is able to do less. Of course there is also the chance that the non-invasive technique simply will not work. In this case, your doctor may recommend surgery. Your doctor may also recommend surgery if your injury is so severe that he or she feels a non-invasive approach would not be effective.

There are three ways to treat a rotator cuff injury surgically:

The first way is open repair surgery. When open repair surgery is chosen, the surgeon will make a full incision into the shoulder. This large incision has the potential of leaving a large scar; however, this method allows the surgeon to have a great deal of freedom of movement.

2. Mini-open repair surgery: This method is like open repair surgery, but it also utilizes arthroscopy. The advantages of this method are that it is an outpatient procedure that leaves a smaller scar.

All-arthroscopic surgery is the least invasive surgery. It is an outpatient procedure that leaves a very small scar.

After examining and diagnosing your injury, your doctor will be able to make a sound decision as to which method will work best for you.

The majority of patients who have rotator cuff surgery experience a decrease in pain and an increase in ROM (range of motion) within four to six months following surgery. In fact, eighty to ninety-five percent of people who have this surgery report satisfaction with the results.

The success of your recovery is dependent on a number of factors. Among them are, your surgeons level of expertise, your fitness level, the severity of your injury, and your compliance with your doctors instructions.

Some patients experience complications from surgery; however, these are rare. One to two percent may experience nerve injury. Approximately one percent may contract infection. Less than one percent may have detachment of the deltoid muscle. Less than one percent may experience stiffness. Tendon re-tear is experienced by approximately six percent of patients.

Learn How to Blow Smoke Rings

Without a doubt, smoke rings are very impressive and they are a great trick to show off with at parties. While it might look easy to blow these rings, they are not quite as easy as you might think. You will need to practice ahead of time so that you can do them without any trouble.

When you are practicing blowing smoke rings, you are going to want to use cigarettes or cigars that have tightly packed tobacco. In most cases, you will find that the cigars have tobacco packed perfectly for blowing smoke rings. It is richer and thicker than you would find with a light cigarette and is more easily held in the mouth. If you have cigars or cigarettes that are not packed as tightly, you can pack them tighter yourself by tapping on the mouth end.

Butane lighters work great for lighting cigars. You will be able to light the cigar evenly, which can be something of a problem with matches. After you light the cigar, the first thing you are going to want to do is to take a large drag from it. Bring as much smoke into your mouth and to the top of your throat as you are comfortably able. When you hold the smoke in your throat, you might find that it is difficult at first. The more you practice this the easier it will become for you.

Next, you want to press your tongue downward and form your lips into the shape of an "O", as though you were going to say "ooh". Try to keep the shape wide while still holding the smoke in your throat. Again, this is something that will come with practice. When you have the shape formed, you can then push small puffs of smoke toward the front of your mouth. It helps if you imagine that you are saying "uh" silently while you are doing this. This will then send those small smoke puffs out of your mouth and they should form rings that float gently away.

Blowing smoke rings takes some practice and a bit of technique as well. You will find mastering blowing smoke rings will take some time, but the effect is worth the effort if you are already a smoker. It makes for a great party trick when your friends are over.

The region was changed by entrepreneurs like James Herrick and Robert Skalli, who planted more commercially viable grapes and petitioned for getting new AOC classifications.

They get the word 'Languedoc' itself from the old 13th century word for the tongue that was spoken then.

Take a Caribbean Cruise Vacation in November and Revisit the Summer

It is hard to believe that August is already here and will be gone before you know it. What that usually means is a sad face as the summer has slipped away and a full winter of work lies ahead. Not so fast my friend, save one of those weeks of vacation that you still have and extend your summer with a Caribbean Cruise Vacation.

Have you ever noticed how much better you feel when the summertime is here? You wake up earlier and you cannot wait to get to work so you can get home and take a dip in the pool. The weekend rolls around and down the shore you go. That summer fun does not have to end as you can head to the Caribbean and keep that tan nice and fresh.

The Western Caribbean will present you with a lot of options and it has become very popular over the years. The ports of Jamaica, Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman and Princess Cays are all part of this swing. While ships will leave from various ports, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale will probably give you the most options. Some of the activities enjoyed in this area are scuba diving (the Caymans in particular), snorkeling and hiking.

The Eastern Caribbean also has plenty of excellent ports. Some of the destinations here are worthy of longer stays so you may want to look into a destination cruise instead of a multi-port cruise. Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Marteen have some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Other activities to enjoy are rock climbing, exploring the rainforest and lots of great shopping.

Now if you want to try something that will not be as crowded, but will be as beautiful, try and get something going to the Southern Caribbean. The destinations are not as well known, but this assures you of dealing with less crowds. Spots like Grenada, Antigua, Barbados and St. Barts are among the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean.

Once you have your destination lined up, it is time to figure out how long you are going to go for. If you would like to break that vacation week up, you can actually take two shorter cruises over the winter months and really extend that summer. There are plenty of single and dual destination cruises available that will last only 3 or 4 days.

Even if you do decide to break up your days, make sure at some point that you do take one of the longer Caribbean Cruise Vacations. For most people, 4 days is just not enough time to enjoy everything that his part of the world has to offer. Beautiful islands, incredible food and some of the best scenery in the world is something that you can never get tired of.

When you want to extend that summer, you need to seriously consider going on a Caribbean Cruise Vacation. In all honesty, they cost nothing more than a week at the shore would cost you and you are getting so much more for your money. Do something different this year and take a cruise to the Caribbean!
